2. Three things the law turns on

Is your college a public one?

State transfer guarantees mostly bind public institutions.

Have you finished the general education core?

Finishing the whole block is worth more than finishing part of it in several states.

Do you hold a transfer associate degree?

An AA or AS built for transfer — not an applied degree meant to finish at your college.
